I love the sea and find the ocean re-invigorating. The people are friendly and there some great places to run along the coastline as well as restaurants to dine out at. I shopped for local products which I enjoyed and picked up some nice little gifts. The holiday enabled my two dogs to travel with me and my friend so that our family had a nice break. It made my winter seem a little more cheerful as I don't enjoy the cold but managed to paddle in the ocean with Peppy and Tom. Thank you for the opportunity to get away.

Squires Loft is a great restaurant especially if you like steak. Point Impossible is the most beautiful beach in Torquay. It is clothing optional so there are not a lot of kids and the beach is pretty quiet although there are a few male perverts that are creepy. We went to 2 coffee shops that weren't great. I will take my own coffee machine next time. One of the fish & chip shops near woolies was closed on Wednesday night which I found strange. Another one in Bell St was open but the chips weren't good. It is a guessing game to figure out which take away shops are open, their website will say the shop is open when it isn't. The bars close early and you will struggle to find an open bar after 9.30pm. It can be hard to find parking at peak times.

Torquay is a great destination and in my opinion one of the nicest towns along the surf coast. The town centre is pleasant to walk around, and the vibe is great - plenty of choice for foodies with a plethora of fantastic restaurants. I was here for 3 days on business but made sure I fitted in some leisure time and can't wait to return.

Amazingly beautiful 😍. A great place to start on a trip down the great Ocean road. I recommend staying in torquay a few days before you begin your trip, unwind and relax by the beaches, have some dinner at the amazing restaurants and take some time to do a bit of shopping before moving down the great Ocean road. So much fun!!
